One of the most popular things to do in the Islands is hike they extensive trails established on several of the islands. While fourteen of the nineteen small islands are uninhabited and protected from development, the remaining five have vibrant communities and are ready to be explored. As you hike the trails along the rocky coasts, keep your eyes peeled for the Galápagos Giant Tortoise and Blue Footed Boobies – they are endemic to these islands!

Another unforgettable experience to be had in the Islands is a snorkeling outing amongst the only marine iguanas in the world! These large reptiles are gentle herbivores who feed on green algae that grows beneath the waves along the Galápagos Islands. Interestingly enough, they vary slightly in size and coloring on each of these neighboring islands, but all have the same remarkable aquatic abilities.
